Describe how ICT is used for teaching and learning in the lesson.
For tuning in activity, the teacher played a song and encouraged the students to sing along with her using the pre-installed music player. For teaching of Conjuctions, the teacher played numerous youtube video clips that featured songs about conjunctions. The teacher then discussed with students about the clips. To wrap up the lesson, the teacher reiterated the appropriate use of conjunctions using powerpoint slides that she had created. General Observation:
How do teachers in the school feel about the use of ICT for teaching and learning? (For this question, you may want to speak to the HOD/ICT and other teachers you know in the school.) Most teachers felt that ICT is important in teaching and learning as it allowed them to create more interesting and attractive lesson plans for students. With ICT being incorporated into lessons, students are more engaged in learning and are given many opportunities to participate in hands on activities such as blogging. |
